Fake Celebrity Messages
Someone pretending to be a celebrity, a singer, actor or TV personality, messages you on social media. They're friendly and flattering, and eventually ask for money for a “fan card”, a meet-and-greet, a charity, or to help them with a problem.
Also called: Celebrity impersonation, Fan card scam, Celebrity romance scam
